Hot vacuum press

Post by tlm »

Hi all, new to forum and hoping for advice.

I am interested in buying a secondhand hot vacuum press, I have seen one for sale - Lamina Framers Corner 2000 hot press, but can't find out much info about it online. Is it worth buying secondhand or can you point me in the right direction of alternative good secondhand machines. I am mainly looking at mounting sanded pastel papers onto board or canvas onto panel. Thanks!

I mount canvas and linen onto wooden panels using a veneer vacuum bag. It might be worth considering if you are not mounting finished artworks?

That sounds interesting, do you have a link for the process and is it archival? Thanks

Plenty on YouTube. It's as archival as the mataerials you choose to use.

Hi tlm,
Give Steve Goodall a ring at Wessex Oldham branch 0161 6812959, he usually knows what's out there in terms of Hotpresses.
