Valiani Mat Pro

Post by whitbyframer »

Just after a bit of advice.

I'm looking for a new mountcutter and, although I'd love to upgrade to a CMC, I'm only a little one man band in a small town and can't argue the case for the cost of one. However, I've been looking at the Valiani Mat Pro range from Simons and wonder if anyone has any experience of them.

Thanks in advance.

We had one for years. We had the 150 with the circle cutter attachment. When we bought our first CMC (also Valiani) it was the 120 size so we kept the 150 for jumbo mounts (and also useful when the CMC PC had a blip).

They are really good pieces of kit, easy to use and very reliable. As an upgrade, without the expense of a CMC, I would highly recommend it.

We only got rid of ours when we upgraded our CMC and bought a jumbo size. It is still going strong, just with another framer.
