Hi Peter,
I have my favorite brushes. Most of them are half inch flat glue brushes, I will often use the same brush for both paint, filler, or wax. Eventually they get old and worn out, but some have been with me for years. I've got used to them like they've got used to be. As brushes they are a little bit stiffer, than ordinary paint brushes and are as such useful for getting a bit of texture in to paint that is thick enough to retain a bit of texture. I am normally quite good at cleaning brushes, getting gesso off a brush is a bit of a struggle for me.

I don't! I suffer from asthma and the smell affects my chest. It never used to be such a problem when I was about 25 years younger, but my health was reasonably o.k. then!
