Change of covid restrictions today

Post by Not your average framer »

I understand from something that was said on the BBC radio broadcast that there has been a lifting of some of the covid restrictions, but I have not been able to find out if this makes any difference to re-opening of our shops. Does anyone else have any knowledge of how this affects us and our businesses? Sorry that I don't know any more, but I was not fully awake. Hopefully someone knows more about this!

We're all non-essential retail...gotta wait until 12th August to interact with the public face-to-face I believe.

That's what I was assuming! Earlier in the year, I had spoken to the poblic health and hygene department of my local aurthority and at that time they were happy for me to serve customers through a narrow hatch and with a perspex screen blocking off my shops doorways. Technically this would operate as what they call click and collect. I am guessing that this still applies.

I don't think that this year is looking like being very busy for us at the moment.
