Deep rebate moulding

Post by Abacus »

Unfortunately Simons have discontinued their Phoenix 34 moulding, can anyone suggest an alternative?

It is a natural wood coloured stain on obeche

Dimensions are 20mm wide by 41mm deep. (I need this size or deeper)

Thanks in advance

Thanks Ricky.

I’m really looking for one with a stain finish, there’s not enough profit in these frames to pay for me to add one.

How about this from Simons OBEC/0105 it's bigger, but you can stain it

Since Simons OBEC/0105 has just been mentioned. This is a very useful moulding for those with band saws to rip down into economical obeche slips and spacers. It's on my list of mouldings to order during the nent few weeks. The thickness of moulding between the inside of the rebate and the outside edge of the moulding is about 16mm. Since the thickness of the blade on my band saw is 0.6mm, it is a simple matter to produce quite a lot of spacers, or slips of whatever depth you may require from this one moulding. It's great price for a source of obeche to rip down in to spscers and slips!
