Looking for a moulding like Lion L2023

Post by Fellows Framing »

Hi,

Does anyone know where I can get a bare tray profile like Lion L2023 https://www.lionpic.co.uk/p/34390/19mm- ... e-Moulding? Its Out of stock at Lion till mid October.

Important sizes for client are internal rebate 42mm, with at top 19mm.

Thanks everyone.

Most tray mouldings are not as deep as 42mm inside, so that's a difficult one to find! Have you looked at Rose and Hollis's F10 obeche spacer? It's cross sectonal size is 22mm x 48mm. With a 6mm deep rebate routed in to the back and a 6mm fillet glued and pinned in to the rebate the resulting tray moulding is only slightly larger than the specified size. If all else fails, this might be a good fall back option! Fabricating tray mouldings by stacking mouldings is my normal way of doing tray mouldings. I've usually got something in stock which will do the job and it usually a lower cost way of creating what is needed.
