Clamping problem with Lion Bench End Guillotine

Post by ShadowStudio »

Hello! I'm hoping I have come to the right place for some help/advice. I've been given a Lion Bench End Guillotine. My understanding is that is has been recently reconditioned, however it seems that there is insufficient clamp pressure at the end with the cam operated lever. I've been in touch with Lion with little success.
Can anyone help by providing a photograph of the whole assembly at the pivoting end, in case there is a screw, spring missing?
I understood that I should be able to cut small amounts i.e. 5 sheets of 180 gsm paper and for it to be held in place. This doesn't happen - when I cut sheets of paper, there is movement and slippage, so the pressure bar doesn't seem to have enough tension. Any help would be appreciated, thank you :)
