Framing a Coin & Melinex
Hi All, I have just read a very interesting thread from Roboframer and have a couple of questions. I am about to frame a coin which is pretty special to the owner because it was presented to them by HRH. I want to try the Melinex 'spider' method I think but I have a couple of questions. I understand how to make the spider but does it sit over the coin and the legs then go around the coin and through the mountboard or does it sit under the coin (and have some type of adhesive?) Also, can anyone recommend where to get Melinex from and there seem to be loads of different types, what am I looking for? Thanks for your help............

This is what I use
Also Google 'conservation by design' and do a search there.
The circle goes over the coin and the legs pass through the board just under it. Burnish them on to double sided tape, fold them back and repeat and then cover them with a tape such as 3m 810 magic tape.
