Saying hello

I would like to introduce myself and at the same time apologise for not doing so sooner.
I have been a framer for more years than I care to remember. I discovered TFF last September and jumped in with a post/problem about my Pistorius underpinner before introducing myself. This oversight has troubled me somewhat as I soon realised TFF and members deserve better.
Many years ago my wife and I built up from scratch a thriving framing/gallery business in our small town, so much so I was able to take early retirement when it became necessary. As many of you will understand I loved every minute of my framing career and running our small business. We worked so well together along with one part time assistant.
Last summer I set out and equipped a workshop at home with some excellent equipment purchased from eBay and am endeavouring to pass on my few skills to one of our daughters. Reading TFF it is clear to me that most of you have forgotten more about framing than I will ever know.
We are already busy enough and enjoying ourselves. I could easily talk picture framing all day but I will not risk boring you.
My self taught framing knowledge is only of benefit to beginners but if I can assist people with strategies that may help with running a small successful framing business I will be pleased to do so.
My sincere thanks to every one who advised regarding my Pistorius last year although it's soon going for sale because a foot operated underpinner is not for me.
Meanwhile' it's back to side pinning with my very old but trusty Stanley 400 until I obtain a pneumatic machine.
