EstLite Recent Version And Version History

Post by John »

Version 6.08.2

Tab key no longer skips Postcode field in the Details screen.
Invoice No. may be increased manually (but not decreased).

Version 6.08.1

Fix bug - Subject sometimes not saved in a multi-job docket, showing up as blank fields in the History form.

Version 6.08

By popular request:-

Maximum jobs per docket has been increased from three to nine.

Cash Register/Till reports can now be exported to an Excel spreadsheet - useful if you want to create charts, or change the style of the report.

No more automatic editing of customer data. Changes may still be made, but require that you first press the Edit button on the navigation bar.

Version 6.07

The printer settings for dockets and reports are now "remembered".

Use the Printer Setup button to set your printer (paper size, portrait/landscape, etc.). It should not be necessary to do this again, unless an alteration is required.

It is now possible to print A5 dockets while having reports printed on A4 or Letter, without all the fiddling about that was once needed.

Also, it no longer matters what state the printer was left in by a previous application, EstLite will now correctly print the dockets or reports regardless

Version 6.06

Backup and Export now work correctly when running under Windows XP.

Version 6.05

Eliminate blank lines in the imported (drag+drop) moulding table files.

GST (General Sales Tax) option added to International tab.

User can add short message to printed docket.

Very obscure: -
The files grid1.est and grid2.est are no longer saved along with your cash register data when posting and saving to external media.

Version 6.04

Don't like the look of Estlite?
Change it using one of the eight new skins.
Use the Alt-PageUp and Alt-PageDown keys.

Version 6.03

Cycle through the previous 6 calculations regardless of whether or not the job has been saved.

Button added to Options/Gereral which will check our website for EstLite updates and download if required.

Version 6.02

Slight modification to printed output - Now less likely to crop bottom line when printing with certain inkjet printers.

USA Helpfile added.

Version 6.01

One or two minor annoyances sorted, but the bigest item is the new help file. Hopefully a bit more helpful and easier to use with it's new clickable graphics.

Version 6.00

The new look Estlite is here! Hopefully a bit more stylish than before.

Version 5.27

The grid column layout, in the History Form, can now be re-arranged and the new arrangement "remembered" the next time the program is run.

To move a column, grab it by the grey header cell and drag it to the new position.

A column may be re-sized by placing the cursor between columns and dragging in or out to the desired width.

Re-printing an invoice now shows the correct collection date.

Version 5.26

A Register tab has been added within Options.

This will make it easier for any user to change their registered business name, having firstly acquired the appropriate registration key of course.

Version 5.25

The bar between Customers and Jobs in the History window can now be dragged up and down allowing you to view more jobs and less customers, or vice versa. (Thanks to markw for this suggestion.)

Final changes to the day record in the cash register are no longer ignored when posting at the end of week.

Negative values in Other will now prompt for a missing description when printing a docket.

Version 5.24

Features addded:-

Drag and drop the moulding price files (MOULDV.DAT and MOULDN.DAT) to merge/replace moulding price tables.

Job completed checkbox added to the History form.

Do not allow new Invoice Number to be lower than the last number used

Version 6.10

Price lists are now imported using the CSV (comma delimited) file format.
The simple file structure consists of Name followed by Price, separated by a comma.

The files can be created in a text editor such as Notepad, or a spreadsheet, like Excel. Perhaps moulding suppliers will eventually provide downloadable price lists for this purpose.

You can import or remove price lists at they are needed, and all are incorporated into the Moulding Price Table.

Version 6.12

By popular demand, registered users can now print their own logo at the top of framing dockets (must be BMP format). Max size 165 x 40mm when printing on A4 paper. Just place your logo.bmp file in the Program Files\Est folder.
(Note that the logo will appear above your business name on the docket.)

Printed docket tidied up a bit for those who use it as a general purpose receipt.

Automatic interface to Epson POS printer, will print receipt and kick open the cash drawer.

Version 6.13

Bug fix - can now delete partially entered job when making a multi job docket.

If you wish to abort when part way through entering a job, hit the 'Clear
Job From Docket' button.

To go forward or back through the jobs in the current docket use the Subject drop-down list in the Customer Data screen.

Using the forward/back buttons in the main screen replaces the data for the current job in the pending docket, so might best be avoided unless this is the behaviour you want.

Version 6.15

Moulding data is now stored in a new format: -

NAME,PRICE,DESCRIPTION,WIDTH,STATUS,LENGTH

If you have been using the stock control feature you will have to edit your csv files before running the new version, preferably in Excel or some other spreadsheet, by inserting columns so that your stock quantity becomes the sixth column.

Definitions: -
NAME - Moulding Id (unique identifier)
PRICE - Cost price to you
DESCRIPTION - Describes the moulding
WIDTH - Width of moulding, prefarably width at base
STATUS - Supplied by manufacturer (out of stock, discontinued, etc.)
LENGTH - Quantity you have in stock

The moulding description is now printed on the docket.

Width of moulding is used if available, otherwise the width is estimated based on price

Dimensions are printed on docket for jobs which do not price a frame rim.

Version 6.16

Estlite Now has the ability to download your supplier's Moulding Table from the Internet. (Provided that your suppliers have made their tables available for download.)

Labels now print on a standard Avery form (L7160).

Customers' initial deposits now saved with each docket.

Bug fix: Moulding width remains the same when you return to the main screen from Docket Prieview without printing the docket.
