Frinton frames/large swepts
Hi
Does anyone know if Frinton frames are still around, my email bounced back and nothing when I ring?
Can anybody recommend someone to make 2 very large swept frames, 7 x 5 feet?
Thanks

Frinton I believe are located next to Wessex in Lymington (I think Frinton are owned by Wessex but I could be wrong). Might be worth giving Wessex a call 01590 681681)

You want http://www.frintongallery.co.uk/. Who are actually in Frinton. Frinton Frames are a sort of offshoot I think - hence the name despite being based n the West Country.
Don't let me put you off trying Tim's stuff.

I think
Frinton frames
Frinton mouldings
Wessex pictures
Wessex mouldings
Glass and mirror
Are all owned by a.l.younger. But all operate pretty independently.

I remember Freddie Frinton and Thora Herd. I can't remember what the TV show was called, but he always had a broken cigarette in his mouth when he was acting as drunk. Only those of us of a certain age will remember Freddie Frinton, but some of us are showing our age!

Re: Frinton frames/large swepts
note to Dave- I have sent a PM to you
Frinton Gallery have nothing to do with the Wessex Group. Frinton mouldings was a spin off trade operation of the former Midas Mouldings which A.L.Younger aka Wessex, took over.
Frinton Gallery was taken over by their accountants son about 10 years ago (or about). The original owner had heart trouble and sold off the firm.
Kingswood should be doing an article in Art Business Today about Victorian Frames in September hopefuly. will keep all posted
very best and hope trade is good for all of you
