Cassesse CS2 Pneumatic Underpinner

Post by Ciderhead »

Hi, newbie here looking for some advise, please! I'm thinking of buying a new pneumatic underpinner at a reasonable price (small volume work). Does anybody have any experience of the Cassesse CS2 or Inmes IM-3P? Thanks, Andy

Hi Andy
I bought the CS2 in January from Phil at Ashworth and Thompson and it's been a great little machine

we do some volume work on it and it holds up very well.
wedges sometime stick but it's very easy to loosen and remove

Think the next one up as you will only get more work as time goes and will need to up grade so do it now ?

Cassese have always lead the way in underpinners from their simple manual ones upwards they are simply the best IMHO.

I bought a cs2 a couple of months ago. I think I should have bought a cs20 though. For the extra money the clamp would have been nice

I was looking at the CS2 but am now considering the CS20 for the clamp. Fingers only at the moment, does a camp really 'do what it says on the tin'? Sometimes I think my joints could do with a little help, and it's not just my knees.

Just had a look at them the clamp system is the same as on the old 3099 which is amazing it really does pull the moulding together.

Bought a CS20 last April. The deciding factor was the clamping system. If things carry on as they are I might consider going up another model.

Thanks for all your comments - I think I might have to look at a CS20.
