Work footwear
Work footwear
What do you wear on your feet at work?
I have a concrete floor, with matting in places but normal work type shoes won't do - make my feet ache after midday. I hate buying new footwear though, I tend to get it wrong but only realise after a few days of wear.
So this time I decided to take a long time choosing - I did a lap of the whole store in about 15 different pairs, shortlisted 5 pairs and did about 6 laps in each of those.
This pair won.
Two weeks in and they are so comfortable and light but tough ... as old boots.
I think I should go and buy another two pairs because by the time they wear out they'll no doubt be long-discontinued! It's funny, the other best pair I ever had were "Wolevrine" and they own Caterpillar .... Hush Puppy and more!

Re: Work footwear
I bought these bad boys a few months ago and they're great. We also have a pretty hard floor & my feet were killing me after the end of each day. They're Grisport. The salesman said the company is big in outdoor stuff etc. I can happily say they've done the trick for me

I have fur lined riggers for winter and leather boots for the rest of the year, both with steel toecap and sturdy leather I have a habit of balancing a sheet of glass on my toes.

Re: Work footwear
I also wear dickies work trousers with the big flappy pockets great for tape measures pens etc, but I do get a bit tired of people comming up to me in b&q asking for advice on plumbing or tiling.
