Glass & Mirror - your opinions?

Post by Grahame Case »

Hi guys,

we have been badly let down by our current glass supplier, we have been waiting over 6 weeks for 50 sheets of 2mm Float in 1220 x 1020mm - now they have arranged to deliver at a time when we are shut, so we have to abandon our plans for tomorrow and sing to their hymn sheet. its a bit hit and miss when they will be delivering.

we are ultimately considering changing our Glass supplier to Glass & Mirror as they operate to a fixed schedule. we would appreciate your recommendations.

I have always found them to be very good and have no hesitation in recommending them.

What Mark says. Deliveries have always been on time for me too. Always been treated as a welcome visitor at the Oldham depot when I have gone along to pick up items myself.

We use them occasionally and have not had any problems. If it wasn't for the good service we receive from our regular supplier we would switch to G&M. It would be the Oldham depot that would service us.

I use G&M (south) for all glass, backing etc and have no complaints at all, very good service and very helpful if you need advice :)

Yep, they are very good - once when I needed something fast, one of the bosses took my order home with him, half way between here & Leatherhead and I went and collected it in the evening.

Their morso blade sharpening service is also v good and v cheap at £8 per set.

Absolutely no hesitation in recommending G&M. Never let me down in the years we have been trading with them.

Always ready to accommodate.

I'd echo all the above been using them for years excellent service and range of products will also cut to size, good for specialist glass and acrylics.

Good luck.

David.

Rumours are true - they are merging with Wessex.

The new name will be Glass & Sex.

Ha - no - but it is true about the merge and I believe the names will stay the same.

Quite a force to be reckoned with I'd say.
