WCAF = West Coast Art and frame show Jan 2017

If you are thinking of going for the first time and need to book flights and hotel, then in my experience best to use http://www.expedia.co.uk or similar and book flights and hotel same time.
I saw a good deal for flights and Ballys Hotel ( which is next door to Paris) - 5 nights £ 800.
Staying at Paris was around £888
Both these prices are for single occupancy, so if a couple are going expect it to work out cheaper per person.

Anyone coming get your name onto Jareds Monday night buffet at Paris. :drink: https://www.facebook.com/events/139636403178340/
The big draw at this show is the 100 + seminars from well respected teachers.
I've not yet seen a list of seminars on the website, but expect it soon.

And if you search WCAF on this forum, there are plenty of posts from previous visitors.

I have visited distributors and framers in 90 countries - no two are the same.

Coming to the WCAF Las Vegas in January 2017?

Do you like Aussies?

If so, the feel free to join myself and some good friends for... The 11th ANNUAL “DOWN UNDER DINNER”!

Originally started at WCAF 2006 to celebrate the Australian National Holiday - this casual and informal event has attracted many different framers from all around the globe every year, with many regulars returning again each year.
Invitation is open and all friends & associates are welcome (regardless of whether you're an Aussie!)

When? Monday 23rd January 2017, 7:30pm
Where? Le Village Buffet – Paris Casino, Las Vegas. (Where the show is being held)
How Much? – Meal cost is approx $US30 not including tip (approx 15-20%). Drinks are extra.
How is the bill worked out? – You each pay each individually, upon entry, to the restaurant (keeps it simple – no bill splitting, etc!). Everyone buys their own drinks.
Can we bring some friends? – Absolutely! Friends and associates are welcome. Feel free to pass this along.
What is the booking name under? I will make a booking this under my name, Jared Davis. If possible, please arrive and wait outside the VIP entrance so we can all head in together for a suitable group seating area.
RSVP – Please let me know if you are coming, so I can make a booking for the right amount of people.

Keep smiling,

Jared Davis <-- Aussie Down Under Dinner Host!

Alec and I are going along to the show for the first time this year having read so many good comments from Keith and others over the past few years. Keith very kindly sent us a copy of the class schedule after his visit to the 2016 show and that was temptation enough and the decision to go was made. We're really looking forward to it and have both signed up for a whole variety of classes over the 4 days and we've also booked our places for Jared's Aussie Dinner.

Hope you have a great time Jo & Alec, it's good to know that between your classes, you'll be helping to represent the Guild on our stand at WCAF.

Fantastic!

Hope to see you there in Las Vegas... I get in early and leave late, but between teaching classes I am sometimes hard to find. See you at the opening reception or at the LJ Design Stars function for sure!

Best,

John
