Storing moulding

Is it best to store upright or flat. In my heated workshop it's flat but I have another small cold but dry room where it can store upright. I'm hopeing to start th new year tidy

In my exp It doesn't matter a great deal whether it's vertical or horizontal. As far as warping is concerned anyway.
If it's decides it wants to twist it will do no matter what way round it is.

Storing vertically is better for accessibility, but not too many folks have 10ft+ ceilings.

I think the key is supporting it. If you store it vertically with the top end against the wall and the bottom against the floor then it will warp. If you do it like Lion do in their warehouse, so it's supported from top to bottom, then that's a different matter.

Years ago I had some horizontal racking in my garage and the nightmares it caused !!
It's all very well at the start.. everything looks neat, but several days/weeks later and the mouldings have fallen all over the place you wonder why you bothered. You can't find what you're looking for.
My recommendation is vertical stacking if possible. You stand a chance of keeping your mouldings separately wrapped and then you can identify them more easily.

Another advantage of vertical storage is that you can manage the short bits/offcuts more easily.
