Morso vs cassese double mitre

hi all.
real novice here!

we currently use a standard foot operated morso mitre. Looking to make the process more simple and to get a better result, i have the chance to buy a casesse 939 can anyone tell me the benefits of upgrading to this machine please?

I would highly recommend the 939- If you have the space and good dust extraction you won't regret it :D

Mitre saw

Pro's:
Larger cut capacity
Less effort
Better quality mitres

Cons:
Larger size
Noisy
Dust extractor required
Higher cost of servicing
(may also require 3 phase power supply)
your compressor may need upgrading

Plus you will have problems cutting fillets and small stuff, so you will probably end up keeping the morso as well

Also the 939 is much heavier, it's about a 5 or 6 times heavier in fact, if you should drop it on your big toe it will smart a bit.

I think they weigh around 750kg. You'll need a forklift to unload it and unless you have a big door
it's going to be a struggle getting it where you want it.

It will pay dividends though if you cut a lot of wide mouldings. It will also cope better on moulding with
undercut backs.
