Guild traing

Post by odocat »

Is anyone else getting upset that the Fine Art Guild only hold courses in London? I have tried to take this up with them and to be fair I could have been better talking to a brick wall.

Is there any particular reason why this training has to be with the Guild? Please excuse me asking, but your initial post does not say why!

Hi Mark,

No I don't mind where I get my training but I do pay my guild membership and they send me emails regarding courses. All of which are in London. Happy to attend other courses if they are advertised and closer.

Some might say that's a bit like buying yourself an annual season ticket to the Tower of London and complaining that they don't have anything near you. :)

I seem to have survived 33 years framing without venturing to the metropolis for training.

I lost a bit of confidence in the FATG when both signatures on my cert faded to nowt.

Wonder what the 'Top Secret' communication said :giggle: :D

I thought there were other places around the country where you can train, like Lion and Wessex offering courses plus there are a number of framers that offer training (most up to Guild level)
Or I could be wrong
