cassese underpinner jammed

Post by brian_uk1 »

Hello,

today we had a wedge that didn't quite go entirely into the frame and as the machine tried to move to next wedge position the motor cog began bouncing off the toothed rack, the operator didn't use to the emergency stop and as a result the motor now seems to be stuck and constantly makes the noise, does anybody know if there is a simple fix?

thanks

It would help if you said which model of Cassese underpinner you have.

Netherless
With the power off can you pull (by hand) the head all the way forward towards the clamping jaws? as this is where the sensor for measuring the head movement is located, once the head is in that position switch back on and the underpinner should then recalibrate itself.

Hi Mark, the pinner is a cs 3099 ultra, unfortunatly i can't pull or push it, its as though the teeth of the motor are jammed on the rail.

I fixed it, the problem was a lose allen bolt had come loose on the part that the wedges slide into and it was getting caught.

Thanks anyway
