Hi Everyone
I've been looking at Estlite and i-Framer and I'm trying to get my head around the capabilities / limitations of each one and would appreciate any thoughts on the subject.
How difficult are these programs to set up? For example if I choose a supplier (arqadia say) do I have to manually enter any/all the requisite info?
Does anyone have any frustrations / limitations with their software?
Any input is greatly appreciated.

Re: Software & Suppliers
Most pricing software, you can download or the software can download the latest price list from the supplier, some software which is web-based or cloud, suppliers updates are done automatically by the servers
I would recommend Estlite for starters, you can just mark up the moulding for your selling price and all the sheet materials you price them for the price you want to sell them for. Once you have paid for Estlite, there are no monthly / yearly fees, and you get free update to the software
Most of the other software, needs to know what your overheads/ running cost are , then all the parts to making a frame are timed and then the hourly rate is worked out for each stage for framing the picture, plus whatever the marked up material cost are. most of these that I have tried have yearly subscription to pay

Thanks Steve, appreciate it.
Simple and useful are attributes that are high on my agenda. Value for money too. I am leaning towards Estlite at this stage.

Re: Software & Suppliers
One of my main moulding suppliers doesn't provide a price list for pricing software, so I have almost always entered the price manually, I was frustrated at the beginning but got used to it. After 12 months using it, I finally got around to customising it to our figures. It does a great job and as many people have said, people rarely argue with what it says on the screen.

Thanks Justin - do you mind me asking which supplier doesn't provide a price list for software?

Rose and Hollis. But saying that Mr Rose and Mr Hollis have now retired and passed the business to two new owners. So maybe this is something to suggest to them.
