We didn't open either of our shops today and have furloughed all our staff, at least that way they will get guaranteed 80% of there wages for the next 3 months.
Orders are coming in on line and now there's only me to do it!

Stay safe everyone

Closed here as well, planning to do all those admin jobs that I never get round to, like up dating the websites, add new products to our online stores

we could all download Preview and do some online exhibitions

Take care everyone, see you on the otherside

I'm pretty much business as usual. I haven't operated on a 'walk-in' basis for a few years. I have a good few weeks
work on the books so I can concentrate on getting caught up. After that I've a list of domestic jobs that I have been
itching to do for ages.

this is one for framerpicture

we have closed one site and are still working in the manufacturing site for now but not open to the public

"We didn't open either of our shops today and have furloughed all our staff, at least that way they will get guaranteed 80% of there wages for the next 3 months."

can you expand on that/give us a bit more information
I have staff here who are obviously nervous and are asking about this

would appreciate it

I've taken a few good orders in the last week or so but I only have so much stock and with the closure of some of the main suppliers it's getting harder to satisfy orders. Fortunately as of today Lion is still going.

I've got about 3 weeks work on and a few quotes open for mouldings I have in stock so I'm good for about 3-4 weeks of slow paced work.

One good thing......

The sun is shining and the wind has abated. First time this year the temp in my outdoor (unheated) workshop was the
same as indoors. So as well as sawing moulding I have been up a ladder cutting my hedge. :D

I hear it's going to be cold very soon though. :(
