If you have to ask, you can't afford the frame.

Even with a salaried in-house staff (plus overhead) and a no profit calculation, over $100,000.

A fraction of the value of the paintings so you could say that they are good value for the money :giggle:

For me, the best thing about that video was the inspired use of a wooden moulding plane. He could have just fed the wood into a moulder but instead created a hand worked, slightly irregular cutting that gives the whole frame a beautiful organic shape that's probably imperceptible but still strikes the human eye as a pleasing well worn look.
Those of us who are making handfinished frames may know the trick of slightly blunting the mitre corners with some sandpaper and even a careful shaving on the outer edges, smoothed with further sanding to give the frame a little bit of life.
