Best /Quickest Tab Gun ?

Post by Jacko »

Hi all,

Just after a bit of advice regarding Pneumatic framing Tab guns, for framing

Which is the quickest, and most robust pneumatic model to use ?
Any pro's / cons's regarding Omer vs Casesse etc ? or any other brands

Speed would be our main requirement, if one make or brand is quicker than the other

Any and all advice appreciated

thanks
Jack

The quickest tab gun would probably be the BT tab gun, it has two pneumatic cylinders, one fires the tab into the frame and the other bends the tab flat against the backing board. Obviously that second cylinder uses extra air from your compressor, so a larger capacity compressor might be needed. BT tab guns cost quite a bit of money.

I have an Omer 53 which bends the tabs down as well, super bit of kit!

Yes, but when working on batches of frames, the speed of the gun can make quite a difference. I used to use an Omer gun at Triton Galleries, where I was trained at it was quite quick, compared to the gun I use now, but I think that you get what you pay for.
