New Framers

Post by osgood »

Education is an absolute must for anyone wanting to become a framer!
IMHO newcomers to the industry need to spend some money learning before they start framing other peoples treasures!

As there seems to be a number of new framers wanting to learn about the framing business in the UK, perhaps it might be a good idea for some of you guys up there to post some specific education opportunities that are available up there.

Stuff like who, where, a brief description of what it entails (if possible) and some contact details.

It might eliminate the need to answer the same questions over and over again.

Yep, absolutely.

Perhaps forum wise, a new section could be created called "for new framers" where all the commonly asked questions are put for their reference - not sure now practical or easy that would be to implement if at all....?

How about an FAQ in the oracle for new framers?

Commonly asked questions is a good idea, but my original intention was to have a special section with recommended education opportunities in UK. This should be a separate topic to FAQ's.

It would need some research and some input from people who have experienced some of those opportunities!

I'm sorry that I'm not closer otherwise I would do the research myself!
