Cove Mats

Post by jonathanframer »

Has anybody cut a Cove Mat on a CMC?

I'm using a Gunnar and also cutting by hand with a Fletcher. It seems a little tricky working out the trigonometry.
Although I have found that at the end of this youtube clip for the Wizard there are versions for other CMCS on this site?

Here is a link to the video.

There is also a previous post on the forum which talks about the "Coved Boxed Designer"

I don't want to feel like I am digging up old/previous articles, however Cove Mat Designs look decorative and are technically difficult to execute, which always make them appealing to me! :D

Thanks,

Jonathan

I'm not in front of my Gunnar but I think its V1.1.1 the latest we have here in Australia.

Is that a similar version to the version you are using?

Thanks for the reply!

If you can work with .plt files then download the "Cove Box Designer" listed under Resources to the left hand side of the screen.

I use it for making window boxes for doll's houses for one of my customers!

And do you know how to import the PLT into the GMC software?

Many thanks!

This is a very cool app, and I've used it with success into GMC, just as stcstc says - using the import feature.

Cheers,
