Are these any use to anyone ?

Post by RoryboysDad »

We recently moved into a property and the deceased previous owner had been a picture framer.

Deep in a shed I have found about 800 of the objects in the picture.

There are about 500 at 15mm diameter and around 300 at 25mm.

I have no use for them and wondered if they are of use to anyone using these forums.

The total weight of all them is 1.145 kilos and I could post them for the appropriate P&P charge.

Or collect from Chesterfield, Derbyshire.

What a kind thing to take the trouble to do. I remember someone saying they're nice people in Derbyshire!

Not for me, but good on you. BTW, I hope your house move went well.

Could I ask if any Framers still use these devices or are they something that has gone out of use ?

Not many professional framers use them, as they stick out from the back of the picture frame and could cause damage to other frames when stored together
You could try donating to a local craft/art group
Not worth trying to sell on ebay

Do you know of any Craft/Art group in the Chesterfield area or will I need to do a bit of looking round locally ?

I hadn't considered selling them on Fleabay or anywhere else.

Thanks for the replies.
