Wanted: Matt Varnish Recommendation

Can anyone recommend a really matt matt varnish for oils, please? (Currently using Winsor & Newton - local art shop has limted selection.)

Unless anyone knows better, that's about the best choice. :D With varnishing oils the trick is how you apply it. Put on thin coats and brush it our well, going one way and then the other.

Don't be tempted to try any water-based stuff for gawd's sake. :?

On that path lies madness. :?
