Senior Picture Framer sought

Framejunkie has a situation vacant for a senior picture framer for our busy Bethnal Green workshop.
We produce high quality hand-finished frames primarily for the Contemporary Art market, both in London and further afield.

This full time position would suit an experienced framer or a skilled woodworker with an interest in fine art, but consideration would also be given to craftspeople with experience in other fields(which might include box-making, bookbinding, conservation work).

The expectation is that the successful candidate would require training in some of the disciplines in what will be a very varied role covering all aspects of frame manufacture. Knowledge of fine woodworking, of hand-finishing (including staining, waxing, painting and gilding) while not essential would be an advantage, as would an in-depth knowledge of conservation mounting techniques and the requirements of Conservation- and Museum-grade framing and the materials used.
