Re: Hoffman router
I purchased one of these under the whale name from ebay, the quality was absoloutley shocking and it went straight back the next day for refund. I got an xline 25 from from scott and sergent in the end which is great and a fair bit cheaper the the mu2 but does essentially the same. Still quite expensive though but you do pay for quality.

Re: Hoffman router
the router would not switch on due to the plastic switch not being strong enough to trigger the actual switch. The front sliding mitre was not square and had weld splatter all down one of the edges and the lift mechanism had slight play in it so every cut was completely off. As I said it was sold as the whale but looks exactly the same as this one.

Re: Hoffman router
sounds a real dog. If I get a chance to get a rep down
I'll take a note and see if it's part of the make up.

Re: Hoffman router
This is the Tewkesbury saw site.
http://www.tewkesburysaw.co.uk
As I said earlier they did have a second hand one a few weeks ago they wanted 1000
for it but if you can wait they do come up on eBay, usually fetching between 500 / 750.
Alternatively you could go on bidspotter or thesalesroom and set up an alert if one
comes up for auction.
