Equipment wanted

Post by Hannah »

Hi,

I am looking for some second hand equipment, which I really can't afford to buy new! I have been framing for five years now and managed a workshop, so I am keen to not have to feel I am taking a "step back" equipment-wise, as i am used to good stuff.

I am looking for -

CS-89 underpinner and a compressor or similar
Excalibur 5000 or similar
Keencut Ultimat Gold 48"

I am willing to travel and collect. I am searching ebay and keeping an eye on Picture Business and Art Business Today, and of course this forum. Does anybody know of any other places to buy second hand equipment from or do I just have to keep waiting.

I would be really grateful for any assistance. :)

Thanks,

Hannah

Hi Hannah,

Welcome to the forum.

Your suppliers or their reps might be a good source. Sometimes a rep will be happy to connect buyer to seller for the goodwill and not seek commission on the sale.

Hi Hannah, and welcome again!

It's worth keeping an eye on Wessex Pictures 2nd hand machinery section (click here).

Hi Hannah.

It might be worth giving these guys a call:

Mitrecraft Wholesale Supplies.

Lincoln (01522 511322)

They are a long established family-run business and know what they are talking about. I'm sure they would be more than helpful. They always have a good selection of used machinery.

Not too far away as well. :)

Thank you all for your suggestions. I have been having a crazy weekend of trying to box in the new workshop ceiling up very tall ladders, but I will give all these people a call tomorrow and see if they have anything available.

If anyone is selling any equipment, I would appreciate the "heads up" on it!

Thanks,

Hannah.
