CHARNWOOD UPP/11 UNDERPINNER SPARE PART WANTED

Post by CarolaS »

I bought this underpinner second hand 25 years ago and it has been trouble free. Lately though, it hasn't been inserting wedges deep enough into the moulding because the head of the Driver has become worn. Has anybody out there got a spare Driver part no.UP17 (see diagram below) or a complete machine they want to sell for spares?
I know the UPP/11 is a bit of an antique but it would be great if I could still use it for a few more years - and it was made in Britain!

PS Sorry, the diagram has loaded the wrong way up!

Yes - they ran out of parts for this model several years ago. I have also contacted Framer's Corner but didn't realise they were their sister company. Have also contacted underpinnerspares.co.uk but no luck there either.
Thanks anyway!

Underpinner Spares would have been the next place I'd recommend to look! Anyway, welcome to the forum :D

Problem now sorted! A small local engineering company (who happen to be a customer of mine) have managed to make a driver for me. My underpinner is now working perfectly again - hopefully for another 25 years!
