Plan chest

Post by Ed209 »

I am after a plan chest as big as possible something like 1400mm wide 900mm deep & around 900mm high want to use as our shop counter so needs to look reasonable any sensible price & distance considered I am down in Kent. So if you have one surplus to requirements or know of any somewhere I will be most grateful. Searching the usual Ebay, gumtree etc.

Are you still looking for a chest? I have one but I am in Lincolnshire. It has red metal legs and frame, wooden drawer fronts and a white top. It is dismantled but I can measure it if you are interested.

The dimensions and photos if possible would be helpful in making a decision.
Thanks Paul

The internal measurements of the drawers is 1038 x 950 mm and the frame is 700 mm high, that is without the top on, which makes it slightly higher. There are five drawers. Unfortunately it is in pieces stored in my garage at the moment, but I can put it together at the weekend to photograph if you like. Just thought it was too much work if it wasn't the right size for you.

Thanks.

Hi Johanna
Thanks for taking the time to measure the plan chest the dimensions are fine apart from the height that needs to be 900mm +
So unfortunately not suitable I know I could make it higher but haven’t really got the time as I really tend to go over the top if I do something especially as it would be in prominent display in the shop
