Newbie to be kitted out....

Post by cleaver »

Hi All,

Another newbie looking to kit himself out (soup to nuts, as they say)!

Am in no rush, as the space I’m taking has to be made ‘habitable’. But thought I'd yell now, in case anyone's considering offloading anything.

Basically after: a decent Morso, Foot-operated underpinner, Mount cutter (min 40-inch boards), and all the usual sundries (which of course I can accumulate along the way)

I’m based in Surrey...wouldn’t really want to travel over 50 miles for gear.

Please feel free to PM me, if that’s preferable to you.

Thanks. :D

By the way, I'm not hung up on getting all pro-standard kit from the outset.

I guess that buying anything less than a Morso is a false economy (especially as they hold their value so well). But if any of you have stuff (underpinners, mount cutters etc.) you'd now consider 'hobby' standard, do give me a shout.

As I said on my 'hello' post, I'm going to start off framing for my Mrs and a few of her fellow artists. So if I start with gear that doesn't cost the earth, maybe it wouldn't be a bad way to go/learn. Then, as hopefully I become more skilled, I can move that gear on. :)

Hi Dan

Just in case you're after anything else:

We're selling our FSC Fletcher substrate cutter on ebay

http://ebay.us/eDZJ0q

And there's a Bambi compressor (this one is no good for every day use, best for an occasional user so probably not suited to pro framers) http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-53481 ... olid=11111

And a cash register https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SHARP-XE-A20 ... 1682624805

We're based in Frome, Somerset though so outside your 50 mile radius: FSC and compressor are collection only. We can post the till.

There will be a morso for sale (not listed yet)
