Keencut system 4000 cutters are quite old, but the are quite easy to keep working, if you are mechanically competent. They are build like tanks and will probably outlast most owners. They have not been made for years and are now only available as second hand, but at that price they are a bargain. They are very heavy and bulky to transport, but they can be disassembled to transport. I had one for about 20 years and it served me well.

Keencut no longer supply the replacement glass cutting wheels with the white moulded fittings as used on the earlier machines, but they are standard part and are available from a supplier in Southampton. The suppliers details are available elsewhere on this forum. If you are going to collect it and dismantle it to transport it, take a digital camera with you, so that you can photograph it as you take it apart and know how to put it back together.

A large Tupperware box may be helpfull as well, so that you don't lose any of the screws, spacers and smaller parts. It's a great cutter if you are needing to get things together on a small budget.
