Framer wanted to join Urban Art gallery in Dalston £15/hr

Post by BSMT »

BSMT is an Urban Art Gallery based in Dalston. After having relocated to a new space in 2019 we set up our own picture framing studio to offer picture framing and canvas stretching alongside the exhibitions we run at the gallery and are looking for someone new to join our team.

Our current framer has been offered a management role elsewhere and thus we respect his wishes to advance his career and sadly say goodbye to him. He will however be here to hand over the role/workshop.

We are dynamic and personable and this is a great opportunity to run an efficient and creative studio within the gallery. The successful candidate must be competent in all aspects of framing and be able to produce work to the highest standards required by our clients.

The candidate should have minimum 3-5 years professional framing experience and be able to work across the entire framing production process. Assistance in advising clients in all aspects of choosing the right frame type that works with their artwork would also be a prerequisite.

Being able to work autonomously and unsupervised would also be essential. As we are still building up the framing side of the gallery, the work will be on a part time basis of 2 to 3 days a week until the workload increases. Totally flexible on the days that you wish to work from Tuesday- Sunday.
This is an opportunity to manage your own framing environment within an exciting gallery space, and an option to diversify your practice with negotiable hours.
