Worth noting that the Guild's framing qualification changed to Guild Certified Framer in 2015 when an updated Study Guide was produced.

In addition, the Study Guide underwent a complete overhaul and rewrite during the first lockdown year and was relaunched in January 2021 with the latest version.

This includes the new 4 Mountboard Standards that are currently in the transition phase (with full compliance by January 2024), the Guild's new 4 Framing Levels that are current now and the complete Tapes and Adhesives document which has been included in the Study Guide for the first time.

There will be lots of useful information in older Study Guides, but they won't offer the very latest advice, techniques and materials.

Anyone thinking of studying for their GCF exam will need to have the latest Study Guide.
