Moulding search

Post by WelshFramer »

Can anyone recommend an L-shaped moulding similar to Simons REMB/0002. Preferably bare wood and costing no more than the Simons moulding at 55p per foot?

I am, thank goodness, using my last length of REMB/0002 (6th length today) and cannot get decent cuts - the gesso on the bottom outside keeps chipping. Fortunately the artist is going to paint them so is happy to fill in the chips but a bare wood moulding would make more sense for future orders.

Thanks.

Do you have the order code and price to hand? I've had a look through the catalogue and can't see it.

Thanks. Page 85 in my catalogue.

Why don't they put the date on the catalogues?

Could cause a nasty shock! :wounded:

A few years ago I did some consultancy for a major publisher of academic and technical books when they were planning to replace their printed catalogues with CDs. The idea was that the CD would be so much better as it would be searchable and could contain extracts of books and even full texts for evaluation.

The results of the survey were almost unanimous opposition to the idea from customers who said they wouldn't bother with that publisher's books if they couldn't browse a printed catalogue in the loo, on the bus or wherever.

It wasn't that the university lecturers were particularly luddites as they were all lecturers in mathematics, computer science, computer applications design or business studies.

Still, the publisher had already decided to scrap the printed catalogue so they cancelled the CD project and didn't have a catalogue for a while. They then implemented a catalogue on their website but made it so you have to know the title of a book or the author's name before you could find out anything about it. Don't think it did their sales much good.
