Fine Art Trade Guild Awards

Post by philipsheldon »

Good Morning Framers !

I hope you've all had a busy week after the Bank holiday. I was just wondering...are any of you going to next weekends' FATG awards ? I am ! ( oh joy...) Yes, well, the Boss has asked me to go for the last 5 years but I have always been pre-occupied ( like the birth of a child for example ) As I have run out of excuses, I am now going with the present Mrs. S.

I was just wondering if any of you were also going. If you are, do come & say " Hello "...BUT - I must ask that you dress exactly like the images you have posted of yourselves on the Forum - otherwise I shall not know who you are !

As for me, well I'll be dressed like Dr. Who & Mrs. S ? Mrs. S will be dressed like Cheryl Cole ( only a bit older - but don't tell her that ! )

See you there ? Please...?!?!?!?!?!

Phil.

How many Mrs S's have there been? Does she know its only a temporary appointment? The decadent life style some of you corporate types live!

A friend of mine introduces his other half as 'My first wife'. Kind of cruel really, but it seems to keep her on her toes!

I'm far too low in the framing food chain to be invited to attend such an auspicious art world event: doubt they'd let me in (even if I did have the Cat Suit!). ;)

I was having a quick browse in the Sales/Wants and saw your thread entitled ‘Fine Art Trade Guild Awards’
Are you in the market to buy or to sell?

I don’t have any FATG awards to sell but I could arrange a JGF award. Tell me what sort of award you would like and I’m sure we can come to some arrangement (I will even throw in a complimentary pat on the back).

I wonder if there will be a ‘FATG Best Members Website’ award? If so, who will judge it? ‘cos the FATG know a good website when they see one. (can you sense a slight tone of sarcasm in my typing?)

Aw, c'mon John. Surely we could persuade you to upgrade that to a Jolly Good Pat on the Back? ;)

How many feisty irish lasses are we talking about? if it's under half a dozen, sounds great. The current mrs. Dave is in the city and there's not much doing in the shop at the moment. Do they bring their own drink and sandwiches? More info required....
