Hey up.
I am in Buxton Derbyshire SK17 6HB and I need A piece of glass approx 45" X 43". I can order this from my supplier but I have recently had a delivery and would need to order another full batch. Anyway I just wondered if anyone close to me has a spare piece? I would pay for it obviously. 2mm float maybe 2.5mm.

I would bite the bullet and get it delivered by your supplier. Unless you have a suitable vehicle it is dangerous to transport large loose sheets of glass.

Why not order it from Glass & Mirror in Oldham. It is only £50.00 min order and you can make up the min. with sheets of normal size glass for stock. I think the driver will take a cheque on delivery if you don't have an account.

I often pick up glass in my car, I have two sheets of chipboard which are slightly lager than the glass, I sandwich the sheets glass between them and ratchet strap the sandwich up tight, I also throw a couple of old dust sheet over too.
Tomorrow I ‘m collecting about 130 sheets of 4mm (2ft x2ft). horticultural glass, I’m using the same method only this time it’s all in a trailer along with the rest of the greenhouse.
