Glass

Post by Comfyjumper »

I am fed up with paying through the nose :!: for cut glass, but up until now I haven't had the space to store and cut. Does anyone know a good supplier in the Ipswich area that will deliver 6'x3' or similar and what would be the minimum amount they would consider supplying? Thank you.

Wessex Pictures, Dereham part of the Wessex/Glass & Mirror group so can supply all your glass needs or you could try Hinton Wholesale in Cambridge but they will probably only have std, diffused and Tru Vue.

Hintons did ring me last week offering std glass in 4' x 3' at £2.80 per sheet + VAT on 20 plus sheets.

Here are their details:

Hinton Wholesale Supplies
68 Church End
Cambridge
CB1 3LB
01223 411715

I have never used them as I have a wholesaler closer so cannot make any comment on their service. They do not have a website.

I have bought materials from Hinton Wholesale for some time and can recommend their service. Andrew, the proprietor, is courteous, prompt and has a good reputation in the Cambridgeshire area. He will also deliver although I don't know what geographical limits he sets re deliveries.

Hope this helps.
