Hi everyone, I'm looking for a bit of advice.
For a Christmas present my partner is making a canvas print for a friend, due to time constraints (and no small amount of disorganisation) it's been left to the last minute...
We are looking for good reliable companies where we can buy the canvas equipment (we have the canvas, we just need the stuff to stretch and mount it), the list of things we think we need to get are:
Stretcher bars, with tightening wedges. (2” deep preferably)
Staple gun & staples
Canvas stretching pliers
Rubber mallet (?)
Something to hang them with, probably from B&Q.
We are currently looking to get them from picturemaster.co.uk but I can't find any reviews or even any comments about them...has anyone any experience in using them, or would you recommend anyone else?
Many thanks

Lion Picture Framing Supplies will have everything you want ……………..and more…you may find them useful seeing as you are in the photo business, Lion are expanding into supplies for that area of business.

However you have set yourself a challenge to get all the supplies you need and the equipment you need for that jobe before Christmas, though if it can be done Lion will look after you.

Lion are good for everything you need.
If you want a bar that is 'the mutts nuts' then try these... http://www.stretcher-bars.co.uk/ ... if you go for the M45's these are the bars I have seen DeMonfort use for their canvas prints. They are not cheap and you have to buy a minimum amount as these are the importers, although if you buy them from a retail outlet like http://www.pegasusart.co.uk/ they are actually cheaper!! and there is no minimum either... just postage unless you spend over a certain amount. Good for just trying them. I have some of the sizes in stock.
You could also try http://www.russellandchapple.co.uk/
If you are stuck for time I could help you out...
