WANTS AN UNDERPINNER URGENT
Hi All just started out in the framing Business/Hobby after years in the motor trade but now getting a little old at 51 and now getting fed up of being made redundant from my last 3 companies the commercial motor trade is not what it used to be. Any way back on to the subject I am very artistic and take pride in my work, I have cut mount boards and started cutting to size my own frames with a saw and guillotine very impressed with my work on the the frames the only problem now is I have had on order a PK04 underpinner with a company now for 5 months and just been told today the 6 june !!!!! so can anyone help me with a good quality underpinner preferably simuler to the PK04 underpinner or any one who has a spare, I am also open to suggestions and alternatives.
Many Thanks
Pete

Looks similar to some of the Logan u/pinners. Google 'DIY Framing' who may be able to help you out.

This is the Logan that Gus mentioned.

Hand tabletop underpinners work best with soft woods like obeche or pine.

Here's a similar thing - more expensive but maybe because it's better? http://www.lionpic.co.uk/product-search ... earch=6756
Or, if you have a drill stand - here's another option http://www.lionpic.co.uk/product-search ... earch=2468

What a pity.
I just sold a PK04 about 3 weeks ago.
It's a Charnwwod, & you should pick one up at any franchise for about £55
