Custom Built Pneumatic Canvas Stretchers Upto 8 Feet

Post by dweaverframe »

In the past few months we have received several emails regarding our two canvas stretching machines, in nearly every case the subject of stretching oversized art has been discussed. We are taking this opportunity to state that we are able to build a pneumatic canvas stretcher to any specification, up to 8 feet. There are several printers that are capable of producing large giclees, posters and banners and we feel that there is enough of a demand that warrants us building a stretcher capable of handling these sizes. We use extruded aluminum frames and high quality pneumatic cylinders. Your stretcher can either be semi-pneumatic, a pneumatic clamp with the operator stretching the fabric over a fulcrum, or you can have a machine that stretches and clamps pneumatically.

As with most people, cost is always a factor and we have purposely priced these machines to be affordable and competitive. The semi-pneumatic machine will cost approximately $200 a foot. The fully pneumatic machine will be about $300 a foot. Your individual needs may warrant changes that have not been factored into the design. If you have specific needs we will be happy to make modifications, provided it does not reduce the structural integrity of the machine. Our semi-pneumatic machine is designed to operate on top of a workbench. The fully pneumatic model is designed to be mounted on the side of a workbench to provide a seamless work surface. We can also design and build a workstation for your canvas stretcher that would include legs, wheels and out-riggers to support the art.

If you have an interest or would like to discuss your options please contact me, Dave Weaver, through my website at www.canvas-stretching-machine.com.

Hi Dave,

As framers we are always interested in new innovations within our trade, and I'm sure that members of this forum have no objection to someone posting information on a product of interest.

However If you have no intention of engaging with the forum in any way, other than to hawk your wares, perhaps you would be better served by placing an ad in the Picture Framer's Directory.

John,
That's what's called "blatant advertising" isn't it?
You should charge an advertising fee for blatant advertising!
