Starter salary?

Post by Coxby »

Can anyone give me some pointers as to how much to pay an unexperienced part timer working only 2 days a week. Does salary scale increase when she has completed courses? Thanks.

Minimum legal wage as a starting wage seems appropriate, if you are paying for the training particularly.
I just see the minimum wage as a baseline, and with no relevant experience, then you probably find they cost you more money than they make till they are up to speed. imho.

Do you need to pay minimum for training!!!!!

You could pay below minimum during the training period…….

Link to pay rates in the South of Ireland:

I’m almost sure the legalisation is more or less the same for the UK, just a different rate of pay and in UK£……………but please do check it out….
