Christmas rush has started

Post by Not your average framer »

Is anyone else getting Christmas framing orders yet? We already have quite a big backlog of non-Christmas orders, and now we've been getting Christmas orders for at least a week now. Some nice order values too!

I know it's probably a bit early to tell yet, but for us it looks like it could be a really busy Christmas period this year.

I got my first Christmas order in June, we have been over run with orders at Christmas for many years now , our regula
r customers knows to get them in early :), we usually have a overflow into January , where the customer gives a iou until it can be completed.
I even have a list of local framers that will be able to complete framing jobs before the required date, but most just wait for us.

we have just broken our previous best month by over 3k and that was in what is normally a average month, looking forward to December.

I think there is a nucleus of people who get organised early for Christmas (not in our household) and November 1st is a watershed for them.

Past experience tells me there is an early rush and I too am experiencing it at the moment but then it goes quiet again for another few weeks.

Christmas season officially started at Scenes a couple of weeks ago when we spotted our first unaccompanied adult male. A sure indicator that the festive season can’t be too far away. :SD

Judging by the rate that work is now coming in, I'm very glad that I took on an extra part time member of staff two weeks ago and that tomorrow I will be teaching him how to make frames.

There's quite a bit of catching up to do with on orders already! If things continue as they have started, we should be very busy during the Christmas period.
