What Under Pinner

Post by guzzijim »

I'm finally losing patience with my Morso under-pinner, probably partly my fault for trying to doctor it, so I'm looking for a replacement under pinner,I'm in no rush,I just want to get what is best for me.
I have a compressor which I could utilize, so pneumatic or foot operated ?
With or without clamps? ie. the saw-tooth bits that push the mitre together.
Bench or freestanding it doesn't matter.
I've never used hardwoods neither likely too.
I probably do less than 100 frames a year.
New or secondhand, would be quite happy with S/H if in good condition.
I was under the impression that Cassesse were the the best, but have noticed that Lion and some of the other wholesalers do not stock this make, is it because their profit margin is to small or they think other makers products are better?

So advice, comments and offers on underpinners forsale welcome.

Cassese are the best by far especially if you are looking for something pneumatic.

I believe Lion stopped selling them as they came to a mutual agreement to stop selling them. As for the others I don't know but perhaps Cassese reviewed their dealerships, there certainly used to be more selling them than there is now which was good as there used to be plenty of deals.

If you can find a second hand Cassese CS199MXL go for it, never had any problems with mine. I expect the newer Cart models are just as good.
