Help with Fletcher Cutter

Post by pramsay13 »

I've got a Feltcher 7554 Glass Cutting Machine that I inherited. I've never used it and I'm going to get it back up and running or scrap it.
Anytime I cut glass I can't snap it cleanly. Having used other cutters this one seems to be missing something to clamp the glass / board before cutting.

Hi Peter I use a Fletcher 8400 series for cutting glass, its probably similar to your model, it doesn't use a clamp for glass cutting just hold it in place by hand. Have you tried a new cutting wheel? There's some info and troubleshooting in this manual :

Thanks to the guy in the US who archives lots of equipment manuals :)

Thanks Dave.
I have a new cutting wheel on it so it's not that.
I'm sure it's to do with holding / clamping / pressure etc.
The manual looks really helpful so I'll take a good look at that and see what happens.
