Hello,
I'm new to framing. I've made a few frames before but none with fillets. I was wondering how you measure and assemble these into your frame?
I'm finding it all a bit confusing. I'm making a box frame for a paper piece.
Any help/advice/tips all very much welcome.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers
How to measure fillets?
Re: How to measure fillets?
First of all lets clarify the terminolgy. Framers tend to call things by different names and as you mention a box frame I'm inclined to think that you don't mean what I call a fillet but what I call a spacer.
What I call a fillet looks like this:

Designed to add an edge to a frame or mount.

Hey thanks for getting back.
You're totally right, I do in fact me spacers.
I was just wondering how you would measure and assemble theses so they are snug in the frame?

Measure and then mitre on the morso setting the width to 0. I usually over cut slightly you can always trim back.

What my learned friend above said.
If you cut them just right they will stay put and no sticking needed. Remember that one day they might have to come out to repair glass or whatever.
