Hotpress Training

Hello, I've recently purchased a second-hand Hotpress JM26 in good condition.
Having looked at the forum, I notice that many feel training is much more preferable to looking at videos etc, and
that is definitely the way for me

I contacted Hotpress, asking about their training. I said the machine was second-hand, and I would be more than happy
to pay for training as wouldn't expect it for free. I was advised to contact Wessex Picture as they do training days (I believe
they are the sole Hotpress distributor)
Wessex advised me they no longer do training (there were training dates, but it seems they are from last year.)

So I'm just wondering if there is anyone within driving distance of Southampton who would be kind enough to give me a
bit of training (I could bring my machine along if needed) - I would of course pay whatever the going rate is in cash.
I realise the machine might not be rocket science, but I'm following the advice of many on the forum, which I'm sure is correct;
for me anyhow

Steve goodall at Wessex pictures is definitely the man to speak to re all things hotpress I would suggest contacting Him to see if he has any training days in the near future. I have attended a few of his trainin.g events and I always learn something. Steve certainly used to be member of this forum but I am not sure if he still is.

The only thing Wessex can suggest is to go to the Art and Framing Roadshow in Newbury on 14 June where Steve Goodall will be but I can't wait 3 months. I imagine the roadshow will be busy and I'm not sure what I will learn

So if anyone is interested in giving a bit of training for a decent rate perhaps they will kindly let me know, thanks

NB: Wessex have just said Steve is willing to give me a couple of hours training, but it's 270 miles away in Oldham - so a long trip + probably
an overnight stay for two hours. Will have to think about that

I doubt you will need more than two hrs there isn't much to them.

You should be able to get all the old videos that were on the training DVD on youtube.... he may even still have a few. Worth the ask

I bought one a couple of years ago and the guy I bought it from showed me once. There really isn't much to it and you can't go far wrong.

I've managed to find someone very helpful locally who is going to show me the basics
