Hello,
A customer wants a frame for a transparentish photograph that is back lit with strips of LED lights (the type where the roll you cut strips of looks like a old fashioned cine film roll).
I know nothing about lights hence asking:
How are the strips joined to make one circuit? And is this easy to do?
Can you get these stripsto run of a small battery (AA size or smaller)? And is this easy to do?
Thanks

Little connectors are available to join each strip, any decent supplier of led strip lighting will stock them. Not sure about the battery though, I'd image is technically possible but if the customer wants to light up the image on a daily basis they'll be changing a lot of batteries.

Re: Frames with LED lighting
This is a short strip acquired from Ebay (around £4) for a personal project of my own.
The strip will not be used to directly illuminate the image but instead it will be placed at the top of a white lined box behind so that the illumination is provided by the scattered light bouncing around the inside of the box.
I would not be interested in providing this as a service to customers where I'd be held responsible for replacing any faulty units.
